Your support is important to our work at APV. There are many ways you can help, and we truly appreciate each and every volunteer's effort. Learn more about how you can get involved with committees or campaigns, and take advantage of the opportunity to do some good.

Activism & Outreach
Responsible for planning and promoting activism activities including sending the Activism Weely Guide, neighborhood level outreach through the Blue Neighbor Network, new resident welcome bags, public policy, campaigns and protests, and voter participation in elections.

Communications
Responsible for updating and maintaining the group webpage, sending meeting notices and emails, preparing presentation slides for monthly meetings, serving as Zoom technical support, Facebook group administration, and supporting Board or Committee requests. Desired skills: Good computer skills, especially PowerPoint/Google Slides, Excel/Google Sheets, and graphics.

Committee Chair: Chris Barton
Finance
Responsible for creating and managing the budget for APV and providing a process of transparency to the board.
Committee Chair: Helene Marlinski
Membership
Responsible for maintaining membership roll including email addresses, phone numbers and membership fee status. Setup and staff front membership table at monthly APV meetings for check-in of existing members, signing up and welcoming new members. Send welcome email to new members after they join.

Program
Responsible for planning and producing programs for APV monthly meetings. They determine topics of interest to APV members, plan the meeting agenda, create presentation content, plan meeting activities, and procure outside speakers, when appropriate.

Public Policy
Responsible for identifying, tracking, and communicating pending legislation and current political/social news and trends of interest to APV members. Works with Outreach & Activism to recommend actions at appropriate times, such as field trips, phone calls, letter writing, etc.

Social
Responsible for providing snacks/refreshments for monthly AVP meetings. Plan/organize annual APV Holiday Party and schedule/organize quarterly APV social gatherings.
